DOOR KNOCK
AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE

We are heartbroken by the tragic news of the assassination attempt on Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette, and the devastating loss of Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark. Our thoughts are with their families, loved ones, and all those impacted. There is no place for gun violence in our community.

As a pro-public safety campaign, we remain committed to building a safer future. In honor of those we’ve lost, we’re launching our summer canvassing program focused on gun violence prevention.

Join us for a training session that will include snacks, refreshments, materials, and a walk-through of our script. Then we’ll head out to knock doors and talk to our Northside neighbors about building a safer, stronger community together.

Ward 5 deserves a City Council member who understands the challenges we face and has the experience to deliver real change. I’ve spent my career fighting for justice as a passionate advocate and public servant, working alongside families to create equitable solutions in housing, education, safety, and community development.

From my Chicago roots, where I first experienced the transformative power of collective action, to my leadership and advocacy in North Minneapolis as a resident and city employee, my commitment to uplifting communities and dismantling systemic barriers has never wavered.

Over the past seven years, I have worked for the City of Minneapolis in various roles, including as an aide for former 4th Ward Council Member Phillipe Cunningham, for the Neighborhood & Community Relations (NCR) Department, the Office of Violence Prevention, and currently in the Division of Oversight and Evaluation in the City Auditor’s Office.

Whether stabilizing housing for families, creating pathways to success for students, or spearheading violence prevention initiatives, I have witnessed the profound impact of empathetic listening, purposeful leadership, and decisive action.

Now, I’m running for City Council to make our local government transparent, accessible, and accountable to every resident of Ward 5. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community that works for everyone.

Join us in shaping a Minneapolis that not only serves its residents but partners with them to build a thriving, equitable future for all.
